Seasonal Trail Assistant

Overview:

Maintain and Improve Trails: Responsibilities include building retaining walls, implementing water management solutions on trails, and performing general trail repairs.

Operate and Maintain Equipment: Use skid steers, mini excavators, and other mechanized equipment. Maintenance of the equipment is also part of the role.

Physical and Team-Based Work: Expect a hands-on role requiring regular physical exertion, including hiking, carrying tools and equipment, and collaborating with a team.

This position involves travel up to 50% of the time across North Dakota.

A four-day workweek (10-hour days) with Fridays off, providing a solid balance of work and personal time.

Physical Capability: Ability to hike up to 5 miles a day, lift equipment, and work with heavy hand tools.

Necessary training for equipment and specific tasks will be provided to the right candidate.

This role is perfect for someone looking to work hard outdoors, enjoy some travel, and directly contribute to trail conservation and enhancement across North Dakota.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Basic familiarity with skid steer or similar equipment.
